Born in Basel, Switzerland, Joe is a social documentary photographer and a graduate of the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University where he completed a Bachelor of Photography with First Class Honours. In 2010 he was the Australasian winner and overall finalist of the Sony World Photography Awards – Student Focus Competition, and recipient of the Queensland Arts Council Photographer for a Year Scholarship the following year. He is a member of ET AL. which is a photographic collective with the aim of providing a platform for it's members to present their work for discussion and development.
