Liam O’Brien is a Brisbane-based emerging artist working across the mediums of photography, video and performance. He graduated from the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University (Australia) in 2010, holding a Bachelor of Photography with Honours. In 2009 he received the Godfrey Rivers Memorial Medal for excellence in studio practice from Griffith University, and the Hobday and Hingston Bursary – awarded by the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) annually to the most promising emerging artist from a tertiary degree. He has exhibited nationally in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth; and internationally at Photo LA 2010. Recently his work has been collected by the prestigious Allens Arthur Robinson Collection, Sydney, Australia.
