Camilla Birkeland was born in Norway. She is a founding member of the Queensland Centre for Photography (QCP), and has worked within the QCP as a manager, designer and administrator since it’s inception in 2003. She is a professional artist who has exhibited widely in Australia and Norway since 1998. She holds a Masters degree in Visual Arts from the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, and was a lecturer and tutor at the same university for seven years.
